It's that time of the month for another update to the KDE Software Compilation. The October point release to KDE SC 4.5 brings a variety of bug-fixes to KWin, Dolphin, and KSharedDataCache, among other KDE packages.

According to the KDE.org press release, the notable KDE SC 4.5.2 improvements include scalability and performance enhancements to KSharedDataCache, improved icon loading performance via the shared data cache, Dolphin file-manager tool-tips have been fixed in certain cases, and KWin and its compositing manager have received optimizations and bug-fixes.

There's also a change-log of fixes in KDE SC 4.5.2 since last month's 4.5.1 release.
