LibreOffice 3.3 Nears; RC3 Released

While Oracle has out Open Office 3.3, The Document Foundation is currently finishing up work on their fork of OpenOffice.org known as LibreOffice. LibreOffice 3.3 is soon going to be released.

The Document Foundation has today announced the third release candidate for LibreOffice 3.3. The announcement can be found at DocumentFoundation.org. This will be the project's first official release since parting ways with the OpenOffice.org camp.

LibreOffice 3.3 will be found in Ubuntu 11.04 among other Linux distributions. It's also available for download on Apple Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows too.
