It was only in late March when Mozilla released Firefox 4.0, but under their new development practices that are similar to that of Google's Chrome web-browser, Firefox 5.0 was released yesterday.

Firefox 5 is delivered under what Mozilla refers to as a "rapid release development cycle" and this release carries over 1,000 improvements in just about three months of development. Among the changes this time around is the Do-Not-Track privacy feature for the Android port of Firefox, improved add-ons, CSS Animations support, and many other new features.

Some of the Mozilla Firefox 5 improvements are talked about in this blog post. As always, Firefox can be downloaded at Firefox.com.
