The Gentoo-based Sabayon Linux distribution has officially released their version 6.0 build. Sabayon is a popular alternative to running Gentoo directly as it focuses upon providing a pleasant "out of the box" support and on greater usability, with the 6.0 release there are a number of helpful improvements.

Sabayon Linux 6.0 ships with the Linux 2.6.39 kernel, GCC 4.5.2, GNOME 2.32, KDE SC 4.6.4, X.Org Server 1.10, provides native support for Btrfs, provides new artwork, supports an HTPC mode using XBMC, ships with IcedTea6, integrates LibreOffice 3.3.3, uses GRUB2, and ships with Chromium as its web browser.

More information can be found in the Sabayon 6.0 release announcement.
