PHORONIX TEST SUITE
OpenBenchmarking.org has turned six years old while in June is when Phoronix.com will celebrate its 13th birthday and the Phoronix Test Suite has its 9th birthday.

Six years ago this weekend is when we launched OpenBenchmarking.org alongside Phoronix Test Suite 3.0-Iveland from the SCALE 9x Linux conference.

You can relive the early days of OpenBenchmarking.org from our launch article in Making More Informed Linux Hardware Choices.

OpenBenchmarking.org is what continues to serve as the central repository / "cloud" for the Phoronix Test Suite with hosting of all the test profiles, test suites, and test results optionally uploaded by us and the entire community. OpenBenchmarking.org plays a central role now in the Phoronix Test Suite for the six years as the successor to the previous "Phoronix Global" incarnation for PTS result management.

OpenBenchmarking.org as of today has more than 972 test profile/suite assets, more than 700k participating test systems, 1.27 million public benchmark results, statistics on more than six million test runs, more than 12.6 million searches on the site, and more than 22.25 million test profile/suite downloads! Of course, that doesn't take into account the total number of test profile/suite downloads since Phoronix Test Suite 3.0 due to caching with Phoromatic Servers and other caching mechanisms commonly deployed by behind-the-firewall server/test farms, etc, for corporations making use of our open-source benchmarking software in an offline manner.

It's been an exciting six years but even more work is still planned for OpenBenchmarking.org when time/resources permit. In less than two weeks will also be the release of Phoronix Test Suite 7.0-Ringsaker.
