OpenSUSE 42.1 Leap Hits Release Candidate

The release candidate has arrived for openSUSE 42.1 "Leap" in anticipation of the distribution's official debut in early November.

OpenSUSE 42.1 Leap RC has various package upgrades, about 400 in total since the beta. Most prominent is that OpenSUSE Leap has switched over to LibreOffice 5 as the latest version of this open-source office suite.

OpenSUSE 42.1 Leap RC is powered by the Linux 4.1.10 kernel. The official release of this major update to the openSUSE Linux distribution is anticipated for 4 November.
