Oracle Linux 6.7 Arrives, Few Days After Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.7
A few days ago Red Hat announced the available of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) version 6.7, earlier today Oracle announced version 6.7 of their own RHEL clone, Oracle Linux, with their Unbreakable Linux Kernel.
Notable features of the, practically shared, releases include: inclusion of the Open Security Content Automation Protocol (OpenSCAP) and oscap utility -- a tool for enhanced security auditing and compliance. Also included is better support for the System Security Services Daemon (SSSD) with active directory, dynamic updates to DNS, and more consistent password security handling.
For workstations, this release comes with LibreOffice 4.2.8.2, also there is now support for sudo to produce compressed log files. As well as an updated dejavu-fonts package.
