Minor Phoronix.com Site Updates Pushed This Weekend
Well, it was certainly a busy day and week in delivering some early 2015 improvements to Phoronix readers although the best is yet to come.
Earlier today on Phoronix I wrote about the work towards Phoronix mobile optimizations and that was followed by some good news about Running Benchmarks On Newer, Popular AAA Linux Games while ending out tonight a number of site updates have landed. This comes days after Phoronix Premium improvements landed to fix the log-in / log-out time issue, etc.
Most of the improvements pushed this Saturday night just affect the PHXCMS content management system back-end, but for readers there will hopefully be some minor performance improvements with slightly faster load times. There's also some groundwork laid for the mobile optimizations, more friendly title strings and URLs, etc. If you encounter any issues, please let me know one way or another -- everything though should be in mostly good shape, the only potential one-time nuisance is that our RSS feed IDs were partially re-built so you may see some duplicates of existing articles over the past few days when initially refreshing your RSS feed reader.
As always, your feedback is appreciated on any topic. If you appreciate the work done at Phoronix please consider subscribing to Phoronix Premium or at least following/liking us via Facebook, Twitter, and Google+. With that said, the best is yet to come!
