PHORONIX
Many Phoronix readers have been requesting merchandise like Phoronix T-shirts as a way to support all of our open-source and Linux work at Phoronix to complement PayPal tips and Phoronix Premium subscriptions. That's now been setup.

There's been Phoronix t-shirts before in limited quantities at events like the Phoronix-Oktoberfest pilgrimage of previous years, but nothing for sale online due to lack of infrastructure. However, Amazon recently launched a "Merch" program where they've made it possible to get custom-printed apparel where they take care of all the work while paying out a royalty to the business.

So with that said I've been working on getting some Phoronix designs available via Amazon for those who wish to support the site. Available so far is this Phoronix Test Suite shirt and this slightly different shirt design.

I'm still working through a few other possible designs and some using just the basic Phoronix logo. Any feedback is welcome, etc. I'm still playing around with the pricing and other options too. Feel free to share your thoughts in the forums.

Less than half the cost of the shirt ends up getting paid out in a royalty to us, so if you're simply wanting to support the work done here at Phoronix Media, the most effective way remains with PayPal tips and Phoronix Premium subscriptions or even Bitcoin. The primary revenue for Phoronix.com though continues to be off (paid-per-impression) advertisements on the site, so simply don't use any ad-blocker on the site and that makes a big difference in the amount of quality, interesting content I'm able to produce.
