Phoronix - Working Towards Faster Page Loads

PHORONIX
As a PSA, this weekend I began playing around with a CDN and distributed DNS for speeding up the page load times on Phoronix.

With the Phoronix.com page load times sometimes dragging out a bit, on Saturday I began trying an initial deployment of CloudFlare across Phoronix.com, Phoronix.net, and OpenBenchmarking.org for speeding up the page access times while as a side benefit potentially blocking some of the link spam bots from the forums.

If the CloudFlare deployment across these three domains go well, I'll spread it out across the other Phoronix Media properties.

Right now the biggest burden on the main Phoronix server is OpenBenchmarking.org and in fact multiple times more demanding than the strain Phoronix.com puts on the server. Ideally in the months ahead I'll be able to move OpenBenchmarking.org off onto its own infrastructure. If you would like to support our Linux testing, Linux hardware reviews, and other open-source news coverage, consider subscribing to Phoronix Premium or making a PayPal tip.

If you run into any connection problems accessing Phoronix this weekend or in the days ahead, please contact me, post in the forums (if you're able to access), or you can let me know via @MichaelLarabel on Twitter.
