PHORONIX TEST SUITE
The first development snapshot of Phoronix Test Suite 5.8 "Belev" is now available, coming just one week after the release of Phoronix Test Suite 5.6.

While it's been just one week, there's already a large number of improvements and changes to the Phoromatic component that made it worth releasing this first development milestone version.

Among the changes with Phoronix Test Suite 5.8 are:

- The start of Canonical's Ubuntu Cloud JuJu support.

- A phoronix-test-suite result-file-to-json sub-command for generate a JSON representation of the test results, similar to result-file-to-pdf, result-file-to-text, etc.

- The anonymous hardware/software reporting is no longer used by OpenBenchmarking.org and is thus now disabled.

- Many Phoromatic web UI improvements, including work on the overall theme.

- The results page has largely been redone.

- A per-system override option to disable power-off support

- A system maintenance table was added.

- A new PowerOnSystemDaily feature was added.

- Started work on a new Phoromatic main page.

- Various code clean-ups.

You can download this initial development version of Phoronix Test Suite 5.8 from Phoronix-Test-Suite.com or the Phoronix-Test-Suite on GitHub. Phoronix Test Suite 5.8.0 is expected to be officially released in May.
