PHORONIX
One week after the big Phoronix Test Suite 6.2-Gamvik roll-out and the official debut of the new OpenBenchmarking.org, the first point release is now available.

Phoronix Test Suite 6.2.1 is rather a small update over the changes found in Phoronix Test Suite 6.2. The only bug discovered in PTS 6.2.0 over the past week was the perf_per_dollar module having a bug in the code from some recent restructuring. That's the module for carrying out the automated, performance-per-dollar calculations on benchmarks for complementary data.

Aside from the performance-per-dollar module fix, there are two minor feature enhancements to the Phodevi (Phoronix Device Interface) library. Phoronix Test Suite 6.2.0 brought initial support for reporting the Vulkan API version supported by the system when detected. Phoronix Test Suite 6.2.1 expands that now to support more driver configurations based upon their vulkaninfo. While doing that, I also now set it up so the OpenCL platform version will also be reported alongside the other prominent system software versions in the system information strings.

That's it for the changes over the past week. If no other bug reports come in or issues encountered over the next week or so, development will then shift to focus on Phoronix Test Suite 6.4 for release in Q2.

On the OpenBenchmarking.org side, over the past week were some improvements made to the search algorithms and other new functionality that rolled out at the start of the month. I still have more features baking for the new OpenBenchmarking.org albeit only so many hours in the day. However, there should be some of the features landing relatively soon; stay tuned for updates. If you have any feedback or feature requests about the new OpenBenchmarking.org, be sure to let us know!
