PHORONIX TEST SUITE
The first development milestone test release of the upcoming Phoronix Test Suite 6.8-Tana is now available for your open-source, cross-platform benchmarking needs.

Over the Phoronix Test Suite 6.6 release from September is mostly a collection of minor improvements and fixes. There is now a PHOROMATIC_HTTP_PORT environment variable if wishing to override the Phoromatic Server HTTP port on starting it (and the static configuration remains present in the XML user configuration file), better proxy handling, Solus external dependency handling support, better handling when PHP ctype extensions aren't present on a system, better Vulkan ICD recognition, and an assortment of other relatively minor work.

Phoronix Test Suite 6.8 will be the Q4'2016 quarterly update and is currently expected for release in late November or early December. Expect more improvements to the Phoronix Test Suite along with related work on OpenBenchmarking.org and Phoromatic. Phoronix Test Suite 6.8 isn't overall going to be a huge release but rather a modest array of small improvements ahead of the Phoronix Test Suite 7.0 release in H1'2017.

Phoronix Test Suite 6.8 Milestone 1 can be obtained from Phoronix-Test-Suite.com or our GitHub project site.
