The Qt 5.5 Beta was supposed to happen back on 12 March, but that goal failed to be realized. However, it looks like Qt 5.5 Beta is quite close now with The Qt Company putting out a beta snapshot.

The Qt 5.5 Alpha was released one month late and even accounting for that, it's going on nearly two months that the 5.5 beta is behind schedule. Originally, Qt 5.5 was supposed to be released as final at the end of April.

While Qt 5.5 is running behind schedule due to bugs, this next open-source tool-kit update brings with it an exciting number of new features and updates.

In today's beta snapshot announcement, it's mentioned that they're hoping to put out the Qt 5.5 Beta very soon but there's still a few last minute issues they're investigating.
