Qt 5.5 Beta Is Closer With Today's Snapshot

Qt 5.5 is a very exciting release for new features and functionality being added to this open-source toolkit, but it's continuing in the Qt5 tradition of running behind schedule.

After the Qt 5.5 Alpha was released one month later, we're running about one month late on the Qt 5.5 Beta and it's still not ready for release. However, indicating that the actual beta debut may not be out too much further, the first development snapshot of the Qt 5.5 Beta is available this morning.

Heikkinen Jani of The Qt Company announced the Qt 5.5 Beta snapshot this morning for Linux / OS X / Windows, but some installers are currently missing. The Qt developers are hoping for testing of these snapshot packages to clear out any high priority bugs prior to doing the beta release.

Today's 5.5 beta snapshot can be found via the Qt development list. If you're not up to speed on Qt 5.5, it brings many exciting features.
