As anticipated, Qt 5.6.1 is now available as the first bug-fix release to the open-source, cross-platform toolkit.

Qt 5.6.1 fixes many bugs since the belated Qt 5.6.0 release earlier this year and right ahead of the Qt 5.7.0 debut. Qt 5.6.1 comes with many important bug fixes and "over 800 improvements" according to The Qt Company. Those improvements include error corrections across all of Qt's modules. Qt 5.6.x is a LTS series and is going to be maintained by The Qt Company for three years. Libpng and Chromium were also updated as part of Qt 5.6.1.
