Not everyone has been happy with the state of Qt 5.6.0, that was released after months of delay and Qt 5.7 is just around the corner. Fortunately, Qt 5.6.1 should be out this week with some important bug fixes.

Some discussion over the bug state of Qt 5.6.0 can be found from this recent forum thread. The good news is that Qt 5.6.1 is just days away from release and there are test packages now available.

Jani Heikkinen of The Qt Company has announced 5.6.1 packages are now available with downloads rightn ow for Windows, Linux, OS X, and the source packages. If no major issues turn up in the next few days, Qt 5.6.1 will be released this week.

Current known issues for Qt 5.6.1 can be seen from this Wiki page.
