The Qt Company has announced the Qt Automotive Suite, a new offering aimed at car makers building in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) systems.

Qt Automotive Suite 1.0 is expected before month's end as the first release of this new architecture catering the Qt tool-kit for use by in-vehicle infotainment systems.

If you are interested in what this all means for Qt inside vehicles, see this qt.io blog post that announces what the initiative is about for IVI developers.

The Qt Automotive Application Manager/Compositor does rely upon the Qt Wayland Compositor for display. ;)
