The original RISC OS open-source operating system now supports the new second-generation Raspberry Pi 2 development board with BCM2836 SoC.

RISC OS continues to be developed by RISC OS Open Limited and with its newest release the Raspberry Pi 2 support complements the operating system's existing support for the various Raspberry Pi 1 models.

Besides the Raspberry Pi 2 enablement there is kernel improvements, the USB driver now uses fast interrupts to catch more events from USB peripherals, there's a RISC OS version of the popular Frogger game included (!Hopper), Ethernet uploads with the EtherUSB driver are now much faster, etc.

More details on this RISC OS update can be found at RISCOSOpen.org.
