Red Hat Partners Up With Microsoft In The Cloud
Microsoft and Red Hat have jointly announced a partnership today to "deliver more flexibility and choice" in the cloud.
Red Hat solutions -- including Red Hat Enterprise Linux -- will become available to Microsoft Azure customers, enterprise-grade support will be offered that spans hybrid environments, collaboration on .NET for "a new generation of application development", and unified workload management across hybrid cloud deployments.
This appears to mostly help Microsoft Azure customers, but RHEL / OpenShift users may be concerned over "access to .NET technologies across Red Hat offerings, including OpenShift and Red Hat Enterprise Linux."
More details on the Microsoft blog and the Red Hat press release.
