The Rust Programming Language Blog has a new post by two of the team members about what the 1.0 release meant in hindsight three months later and what the team will be focusing on in looking forward to 2016.

Some of the biggest plans include expanding their infrastructure, zeroing in on gaps in key features, branching out into new places for Rust, and more. Some infrastructure investments include improving the Crater tool, incremental compilation support, and deeper integration with IDEs and other tools. In taking Rust to new places, one of the features being looked at is "push-button cross-compiles."

Those wishing to learn more about the Rust plans for the next year can find details via blog.rust-lang.org.
