It's been a while since last having a Sailfish OS update from Jolla to talk about, but that's changed with the "Aurajoki" release finally hitting supported devices.

Sailfish OS Aurajoki is "one of our biggest releases in a long time," which should be exciting for Jolla device owners but unfortunately doesn't appear to add many compelling new features to tempt users of other platforms to switch over.

Aurajoki integrates cloud backups with OneDrive and Dropbox into the Gallery program, backups are now simplified from the settings area, the camera app supports using flash while shooting videos, support for deleting multiple contacts at once, support for taking a screenshot by holding the volume up/down buttons at once, improved dual-SIM integration, and support for Mozilla Location Service positioning.

There are also a few other changes with this Sailfish OS release and you can learn more via this Jolla blog post.
