Microsoft today announced the Skype Linux Alpha 1.10 release that brings basic support for video calls.

With the Skype 1.10 Linux Alpha release, there is support for 1-on-1 video calls. However, the big caveat is this current support only works between Linux Alpha clients. Support for video communications with Skype on other platforms will come later.
