It's been a while since Microsoft-owned Skype last did a serious update to their Linux client, but it looks like that could be changing...

Posted today to the official Skype blog was "Exciting news for Linux users." A Skype Community Q&A on 13 July at 7AM PST is going to reveal more details. The post also shared this graphic:
