Yesterday Aspyr Media was teasing a new Linux game launch and today they've indeed ported over another game now available from the Steam Linux store.

Given that Aspyr had ported Civilization V: Beyond Earth, Bioshock Infinite, and other AAA games to Linux in the past, there was some hope it would be another thrilling game release. However, unless you're a Star Wars fan, there isn't much excitement over today's new Linux game.

The title that's new to Steam on Linux is STAR WARS Knights of the Old Republic II - The Sith Lords. This is the game that was released for Windows back in 2005 and now a decade later is out for Linux. This Star Wars role playing game is powered by the Odyssey Engine with being developed by Obsidian Entertainment.

This game has a gold rating on Wine so if you've owned the game for Windows in the past chances are you've already played it on Linux under Wine.

Those interested in this port to Linux can find the game via the Steam Store where it's currently selling for $7.49 rather than its list price of $9.99 USD.
