While there's still a shortage of Vulkan-powered games, the Steam client continues to make improvements for this next-gen graphics API.

Valve issued a new Steam client beta today, 18 May, and there are two notable Vulkan improvements. First, for those utilizing in-home streaming with Vulkan games there is said to be improved latency and performance. But even if you're not streaming Vulkan games, this Steam client may be of interest to you if relying upon the AMD Vulkan stack with there being a fixed performance issue for Steam overlays with the AMD + Vulkan combination.

Aside from those Vulkan improvements, there's just non-Linux general improvements in this update. More details at SteamCommunity.com.
