While Valve's Steam Controller isn't expected to formally launch until 10 November, at least some of those who pre-ordered this gaming controller early are now reportedly set to receive their device any day now.

It was pointed out in the forums by a frequent, longtime contributor that his Steam Controller is in the mail, heading to the UK. On Twitter there's also many references of people receiving notifications that their Steam Controller pre-orders have shipped as well as the Steam Link.

This $49.99 USD game controller is Linux compatible and should work out-of-the-box with Steam Linux games. Though for some current distributions there may be some controller issues, such as this bug on Ubuntu.
