Besides announcing the Source 2 Engine, Valve used GDC2015 as an opportunity to announce Steam Link, a $49 (USD) device for streaming Steam content to any TV.

Steam Link is a (Linux) SteamOS-powered device for streaming content using Steam In-Home Streaming into your living room and elsewhere. Steam Link just needs to connect to your home network and it will discover any PC running Steam on the network.

Steam Link will sell for $49 USD but the Steam Controller will set you back an additional $50. Steam Link isn't expected to be available until November of this year. From GDC2015 it looks like around November is also when Steam Machines from various PC vendors will become available, some of which will be powered by the Linux-based SteamOS.

More details on the Steam Link streaming device can be found from SteamPowered.com.
