In addition to the Steam Linux news this week that the Steam Controller and Steam Machines is up for pre-order and the Steam Linux usage has dropped to an all-time low, I noticed the Linux game count is well past 1,200 titles.

Back in mid-March is when Steam on Linux crossed 1,000 titles and then one month later there were more than 1,100 games available on Steam for Linux. Now just a little over one month after that, we're well past 1,200 titles... In fact, at the time of writing already at 1,239. It seems Steam for Linux is on a trend currently of around one hundred new titles per month.

Of the 1,239 current titles, 32 of them offer VR support, 488 make use of Steam Cloud, and 351 of them offer full controller support. 1,180 games offer a single-player mode and 279 of the games offer a multi-player mode.

Meanwhile, Windows has 5,541 titles and OS X has 1,948. It will be interesting to see how many Linux games are found on Steam by the time the Steam Machines start rolling out in October
