As the first update since the huge SuperTuxKart 0.9 release back in April that ushered in its OpenGL 3 engine, SuperTuxKart 0.9.1 is now available.

SuperTuxKart 0.9.1 features a new, next-generation track available to those who donated to the project. There's also various track updates to existing tracks and one of their previous donation / gift package tracks is now included in the official game. SuperTuxKart 0.9.1 also has other in-game enhancewments, improved physics, and "significantly improved" audio handling.

Moving forward, SuperTuxKart developers are looking at implementing a TTF renderer to replace their bitmap-based font system and to add LAN support for this racing game followed by WAN support.

More details on today's SuperTuxKart 0.9.1 game release can be found via the STK blog.
