Ubuntu 15.04 Beta Released, Ubuntu MATE Made Official

The Ubuntu derivatives opting-in to doing beta releases put out their first beta today. With this 15.04 Beta 1 milestone, Ubuntu MATE has been made an official derivative.

Ubuntu MATE is the version of Ubuntu Linux shipping with the GNOME2-forked MATE Desktop Environment by default. Besides Ubuntu MATE, the other releases doing their 15.04 "Vivid Verbet" Beta 1 spins today are Kubuntu, Lubuntu, Ubuntu GNOME,
UbuntuKylin, Xubuntu and Ubuntu Cloud.

The *buntu 15.04 Beta 1 releases bring updated software packages and other changes. Ubuntu itself isn't participating in the beta releases today rather Canonical just encourages testing of the latest daily Ubuntu 15.04 ISOs.
