Ubuntu 15.10 Updates Packages To GNOME 3.16, Ports More Software To Python 3
This past week the Ubuntu 15.10 desktop updated many of their GNOME packages to the GNOME 3.16.x series. There's also been other improvements on the desktop front.
Besides upgrading more packages to the GNOME 3.16 versions, various packages were ported from Python 2 to Python 3. Ubuntu developers are still planning for Python 3 by default in Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.
There's also been an Ubuntu Make Update with the new Microsoft Visual Studio support, the Valada default changed to v0.28, the GStreamer and Evolution stacks are being worked on updating, and there's been work on the Snappy personal image support.
