WebRender, the GPU-accelerated back-end for Mozilla's Servo browser layout engine, has seen a large number of improvements with WebRender2.

As of yesterday, the WebRender2 (Wr2) back-end has been merged to Servo. Over the original GPU accelerated WebRender code, the new version supports tiling, dashed borders / dashes / dotted boxes, and a variety of other changes.

Unfortunately I've been able to find much more information on the WebRender2 changes, but given the size of this code merge, there's a lot of work/improvements bundled in this update. Those wanting to try out Servo's GPU acceleration support can take advantage of the nightly builds with the browser.html interface.
