With having an Arch-based Manjaro Linux installation around from the recent large Linux distribution comparison / performance showdown I carried out some extra tests this weekend.

One of those tests was a fresh comparison of the different I/O schedulers. From Manjaro Linux 15.11 with the Linux 3.18 kernel, I ran some disk tests while using the BFQ, CFQ, Deadline, and Noop I/O schedulers.

You can find these I/O scheduler results over on OpenBenchmarking.org. If you want to compare to some older results, there was another I/O scheduler comparison last year on Phoronix.
