Microsoft announced this morning that Windows 10 will be officially released on 29 July. I'm excited! Only to run benchmarks and see how the performance compares to various Linux distributions...

We've known that Windows 10 was slated for release this summer and today it's been confirmed via Hello World: Windows 10 Available On July 29 of its confirmed release date.

I just want to say that I do intend full well to do a Windows 10 vs. Linux performance comparison immediately following the Win10 launch, looking at graphics performance, etc.

If you're not familiar with the new features to Windows 10, I wrote about some Windows 10 features a few months back to know what Linux will be going up against later this year.
