Wine 1.7.55 was released this morning with some exciting changes.

First up, this Wine development release finally brings PulseAudio support! The pulsewine code was merged that's originally been around for years and previously was controversial amongst Wine developers. Maarten Lankhorst managed to get the PulseAudio support merged for Wine 1.7.55. PulseAudio support has been sought after with this bug from 2007 and has seen more than 400 comments before being closed for this release.

Besides having PulseAudio support, Wine 1.7.55 also has fixes for Microsoft Office 2013 support, more work on the Web Services DLL, fixes for the latest C runtime version, improvements to the makefile generation, and various bug-fixes. In total there are 76 known bug-fixes for this bi-weekly Wine development release.
