Now with being under a code freeze for Wine 1.8, the first release candidate of this first major Wine update in two years is now available.

Wine 1.8-RC1 just has bug-fixes over the last Wine 1.7 development release. There are 54 known bug-fixes in Wine 1.8-RC1. Details at WineHQ.org.

Weekly release candidates of Wine 1.8 are expected until the official release is ready, which will likely happen around the end of the year.
