Wine 1.8.3 is now the latest stable version of this open-source software for running Windows programs and games on Linux and other operating systems.

As usual for Wine stable point releases, the update is mostly about bug-fixing. Wine 1.8.3 has a total of 54 known bug-fixes for this version. In addition to the bug fixes, a number of NVIDIA graphics cards were added to Wine's GPU description table. There have also been updates to the National Language Support files.
