Adam Jackson at Red Hat announced today the release of X.Org Server 1.18 RC2 as the newest version of the xorg-server leading up to the final release.

This release candidate to the very-delayed X.Org Server 1.18 comes with many changes as a result of the lengthy period of time that's passed. X.Org Server 1.18 originally was expected much earlier in the year.

Those interested in all the technical changes for X.Org Server 1.18 RC2 can be found via the release announcement.
