XBMC's Kodi 14.1 Brings Bug-Fixes, MIPS Port Lands In Master

Version 14.1 of Kodi -- the open-source multimedia software formerly known as XBMC -- has been released as primarily a bug-fix to the "Helix" series.

Among the fixes found in Kodi 14.1 are fixes for DXVA flickering with AMD hardware, a possible overflow in ALSA, broken keyboard input, and a random exiting on Android x86 builds, among many other fixes.

Phoronix reader Harley also pointed out that the XBMC MIPS port has landed in Kodi's mainline code-base for the next major release. The Kodi MIPS port was tested on the new Imagination CI20 MIPS-based development board. Right now this MIPS port just relies on software rendering.
