Version 14.1 of Kodi -- the open-source multimedia software formerly known as XBMC -- has been released as primarily a bug-fix to the "Helix" series.

Among the fixes found in Kodi 14.1 are fixes for DXVA flickering with AMD hardware, a possible overflow in ALSA, broken keyboard input, and a random exiting on Android x86 builds, among many other fixes.

More details on Kodi 14.1 can be found via the Kodi.tv release announcement.

Phoronix reader Harley also pointed out that the XBMC MIPS port has landed in Kodi's mainline code-base for the next major release. The Kodi MIPS port was tested on the new Imagination CI20 MIPS-based development board. Right now this MIPS port just relies on software rendering. More information on XBMC/Kodi for the MIPS CI20 can be found from this earlier blog post.
