If you'd like to propose a location in Europe to host the X.Org Developers' Conference (XDC) next year and are willing to organize the event, the X.Org Foundation wants to hear from you.

Daniel Vetter of Intel, acting as the X.Org Foundation secretary of the board, announced they're soliciting proposals to organixe XDC 2016 "somewhere in Europe" -- given that the events tend to flip-flop between the Americas and Europe each year, with XDC2015 last month taking place in Toronto, Canada.

However, in usual X.Org Foundation mis-management and belated communications, there's just two weeks to come forward with a proposal. The board has received a proposal to host XDC2016 in Helsinki, Finland, which they intend to vote on at the next meeting in two weeks unless someone else comes forward with another proposal.

If you are interested in organizing a proposal for a European host city for XDC2016, see this mailing list announcement.
