Planning Starts For Mesa/Wayland/X.Org Projects This Summer
Upstream projects associated with the X.Org Foundation should begin thinking of possible summer project ideas for GSoC 2016 while students can begin figuring out their proposals if wanting to get involved with open-source graphics/compute development over the summer.
The X.Org Foundation is again applying to be part of the Google Summer of Code project, but as always the work isn't limited to the X.Org Server but also encompasses Mesa, Wayland, Linux input, DRM kernel drivers, OpenGL, OpenCL, and other areas.
Ideas from previous years and new ideas being brewed now will be listed via the X.Org Wiki.
Other early communication regarding X.Org for GSoC 2016 planning can be found via this mailing list post.
