WAYLAND
There is a quick update to the XWayland Gets GLAMOR X-Video Support story.

Last month the patches were published for for providing X-Video support to XWayland over GLAMOR. This allows X11 apps relying upon the X-Video API for video acceleration to work under XWayland and be accelerated using OpenGL in a generic manner.

That 400+ lines of code for offering an X-Video adapter under XWayland via GLAMOR is now in xorg-server Git. That work has landed in time for the X.Org Server 1.19 release later this year.

On a slightly unrelated note, in the past few days have also been a number of GLAMOR acceleration improvements done by Eric Anholt that are also now in Git for further improving 2D over OpenGL / OpenGL ES.
