UBUNTU
While earlier this week it was looking like Ubuntu 16.04 Alpha 2 might not happen for the opt-in flavors, it ended up getting released today.

Participating in the Xenial Xerus Alpha 2 release today is Ubuntu Mate, Lubuntu, Ubuntu Kylin, and Ubuntu Cloud. Notably missing are Xubuntu and Kubuntu. Ubuntu itself continues to not participate in these early development milestones rather focusing instead on their daily release quality.

More details on today's Ubuntu 16.04 Alpha 2 milestone can be found via this mailing list post.
