DigiKam Software Collection 4.7.0 was released today while this digital photography management software is still being ported to Qt5 and KDE Frameworks 5.

The digiKam 4.7 release really isn't an exciting update as most of the developers are focused on digiKam 5.0, which will have the completed KF5/Qt5 port. However, for the interim period, a developer is maintaining the KDE4 digiKam 4.x series with bug-fixes. The 4.7.0 release fixes a number of bugs but doesn't offer any real new functionality. There's still no firm ETA when digiKam 5.0 will be released.

The brief digiKam 4.7 details can be found at digiKam.org.
