KDE
While the digiKam digital photography software is still being ported to KDE Frameworks 5, release today was the latest KDE4-based digiKam release.

The digiKam 4.9.0 release today focused primarily just on bug-fixing with the upstream developers these days primarily being concerned about porting to Qt5 and KDE Frameworks 5, which will make up digiKam 5.0.

There isn't much else exciting to add about today's digiKam 4.9 release while you can download this latest stable release from digiKam.org. Wait for later in the year to see the new digiKam 5.0 release powered by Qt5/KF5.
