Ben Skeggs went ahead today and tagged version 1.0.12 of the Nouveau X.Org display driver.

The Red Hat developer commented, "Various random fixes have been pending for a long while now..." There are around three dozen changes for xf86-video-nouveau 1.0.12. Some of the work includes adding the Option "DRI" for specifying the maximum DRI level in the xorg.conf, the temporary removal of Maxwell GM10x support, GLAMOR support has been removed (use the xf86-video-modesetting DDX for now if you want it), support for the new dirty tracking API, and support for DRI3 rendering without GLAMOR.

DRI3 support for Nouveau though isn't enabled by default due to "bugs on current implementations" and not working well on X.Org Servers older than v1.16.3. The new DRI option for the xorg.conf is needed if wanting to use Direct Rendering Infrastructure 3.

More details on the xf86-video-nouveau 1.0.12 driver can be found via the Git log.
