Apotop Wi-Copy

A new gadget we received recently at Phoronix from Apotop is their Wi-Copy device. Apotop's Wi-Copy is an interesting little device that can serve as a personal WiFi router / hot-spot, wireless/wired card reader, and as a USB device charger.

While the Apotop Wi-Copy is a bit out of scope for the products we're normally testing at Phoronix for Linux benchmarking, the Wi-Copy is interesting enough I accepted Apotop's offer to send the product over. It's quite a nifty device given its size and that it makes for an extremely easy process of transferring data from a USB device or SD card wirelessly to Android or iOS devices. Apotop in the Google Play and Apple App Stores offers a free app for interfacing with this device over WiFi. You can also access the device via HTTP.

The Wi-Copy (DW21) arrived in a small box that within there was the device, the instruction manual in multiple languages, and a micro USB cable for charging/communication. Apotop claims the Wi-Copy is fast enough for streaming up to five HD movies simultaneously to multiple iOS/Android devices via their hardware and free app.
