The iRulu BL20 is a low-cost projector 1080p/HD projector that supports a projection distance up to six meters, dual built-in speakers, and a screen size up to 200 inches. Retailing for about $165 USD, this isn't a high-end projector but is rather decent for the price. Here's a quick write-up about my experience with this budget projector.

In the basement server room I had been using an 800x600 VGA projector that I've had for many years, but when seeing this 1080p projector for less than $200 USD, I decided it would be a good year-end investment to increase the usability as with the old VGA projector it's really a mess to work with when displaying content such as the Phoromatic dashboard. With that older projector, using a HDMI-to-VGA adapter also caused problems and devices like the Chromecast wouldn't even work. With the iRulu BL20 projector, those problems went away.

The iRulu BL20 uses a 5-inch LCD TXT panel, offers two HDMI inputs, a rated projection distance of 1.2 to 6 meters, a 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio, 110 Watt power draw, 3W speakers, 16.7k rated colors, and a projection screen size of 32 to 200 inches.

The BL20 can be hung via a projector mount when removing the plastic feet on the unit. I had discovered this unit on Amazon and was interested by its rather low price while having 600+ customer reviews with a four star rating and being the second most sold video projector on the site.
