A few days ago I posted some results of surprise performance improvements for a Radeon RX 470 when testing the DRM-Next code queued for Linux 4.11. I've now tested that kernel on more systems and can confirm at least benefits more widespread for RADV's Vulkan performance.

The Radeon RX 470 testing earlier this week showed performance boosts for RADV with Dota 2 on this Polaris graphics card as well as benefiting Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, which is using OpenGL. The Deus Ex: MD performance boosts appeared limited to the RX 470 when testing on other hardware, but the RADV performance going up with Dota 2 was common when testing DRM-Next code on other systems.

For other tests today were a Radeon RX 480 (Polaris) and R9 Fury (Fiji) tested with Linux 4.10.0 vs. DRM-Next of Linux 4.11. During the testing the Mesa 17.1-devel installation was constant. This is also a completely different system from where the RX 470 testing took place.
